Tree Stocking Rate Guide

Spacing of trees at planting and throughout their rotation is a powerful management tool

Use this table to calculate the number of stems per hectare (stems/ha). The shaded cells are common planting regimes for woodlots. You can also use this table to estimate hypothetical spacing for thinning purposes.
