Whatever their interests there are many useful tools available for farmers interested in managing their trees. The Master TreeGrower program provides some basic tools but there are many others The Australian Master TreeGrower Diameter Tape The MTG tape is provided to all our course participants along with training in how it can be used to measure tree diameter, height and basal area. The full details on how to use the tape are outlined in Chapter 5 of The Farmers Forest which can be downloaded from this site. Tapes are available for $20 (includes postage) from Rowan Reid Computer based tools MTG Inventory Spreadsheet - A simple spreadsheet to help with inventory data and calculations.
