Private Forestry Development Committees (PFDCs)

Private Forestry Development Committees (PFDCs) work with local and regional stakeholders, industry and government to assist forest industry development at a regional level. There are 21 PFDCs in the main plantation regions of Australia that are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and the responsible agency in each State/Territory through the Private Forest activities of the Natural Heritage Trust Extension.  In Northern Territory and Tasmania, the Forest Agencies serve as contact for information on regional plantation development matters.
